When your prescription needs a closer look.

A strong prescription or uncomfortable glasses can make everyday tasks frustrating. At iDoctor, we consider your vision, eye health and eyewear together, with time to understand what works for you and what needs attention.

Start with your experience

Tell us where vision falls short.

Perhaps distance is clear but reading feels awkward, or a new pair never feels quite settled. Explain when the difficulty appears: driving, computer work, reading or changing between distances. Bring your current glasses, previous pairs you liked, and any recent prescription. Those comparisons help us understand your visual needs and what changed.

A considered assessment

The prescription is one part of the picture.

Dr. Saher Sayed assesses strong prescriptions, focusing difficulties and irregular astigmatism, and works with prism prescriptions when appropriate. Your symptoms and experience with your current correction guide the conversation.

Your doctor checks visual clarity and refines the prescription using your responses during testing. Eye health also matters: persistent blur or discomfort should not automatically be attributed to the glasses. The findings may call for additional evaluation.

Our optical team can review the lenses you wear, their specifications and how the frame sits. A prescription change, lens design and frame adjustment address different issues; the next step depends on the findings.

Thoughtful eyewear choices

Lenses and frames, considered together.

Lens material

For stronger prescriptions, high-index materials may reduce thickness. The appropriate choice also considers lens design, weight and your priorities; the thinnest option is not automatically the best fit for everyone.

Frame choice

Frame size, shape and fit influence the finished glasses. We help you weigh appearance and comfort alongside your prescription, rather than choosing a frame and considering its lenses afterward.

Personal measurements

Optikam measures how your chosen frame sits, including pupil position, fitting height and angles. These details support lens positioning, particularly when considering progressive or stronger prescriptions.

Your next step

Understand the choices before you decide.

The findings may point toward updated lenses, an adjustment or further assessment. Your doctor can explain what glasses can address and where their limits lie. Ask about the available options, their tradeoffs and the expected costs before choosing new eyewear.

Before your visit

A few helpful answers.

Does a strong prescription mean limited frame choices?

It can influence which combinations work well, but there is no single frame rule for every prescription. We can explain the tradeoffs in size, fit and lens material before you decide.

Do uncomfortable glasses always mean the prescription is wrong?

No. Lens design, positioning, frame fit and eye health may also contribute. Bring the glasses so we can consider the actual pair alongside your symptoms and examination.

Should I book an exam or visit the optical?

If your vision has changed or symptoms persist, start with an exam. For eyewear choices with a current prescription, visit the optical; outside prescriptions are welcome. Unsure? Call and describe what you are experiencing.
