Progressive lens fitting.
For the distances that fill your day. A useful progressive starts with your prescription, your routines and the way your glasses sit. We bring those details together when fitting eyewear at iDoctor.

Start with your day
Tell us where focus falls short.
Reading, screen work and moving between distances place different demands on your glasses. Tell us about the tasks that matter most and any positions you find awkward in your current pair.
Progressives combine distance, intermediate and near viewing areas without a visible dividing line. How you reach those areas depends on the lens design and its position in your frame. The prescription and the fit deserve equal attention.
A considered fitting
Three details, brought together.
Understand the prescription
If vision has changed or symptoms persist, Dr. Saher Sayed can assess your vision and refine the prescription. Your experience with current and previous glasses is an important part of that conversation.
Choose the frame & design
Our optical team considers your viewing tasks, prescription and how a suitable frame sits. Lens design and frame choice work together; choosing only by appearance or lens price leaves part of the picture out.
Measure the position
For eyewear bought at iDoctor, Optikam captures PDs, fitting heights, pantoscopic tilt, wrap and vertex distance. These measurements describe pupil position and how the frame sits in front of your eyes.
When a pair never feels settled
Bring the glasses. Keep the conversation open.
Uncomfortable progressives do not automatically mean you need a stronger prescription. The lens design, fitting measurements, frame position and eye health may also matter. Bring the actual glasses, along with a previous pair that worked well, if you have one.
Some softness toward the lens edges and changes in head movement can be part of adapting. Adaptation varies. Contact us about persistent difficulty, or if the frame slips or sits differently; there is no need to keep struggling without a review.
Complex prescriptionsA few helpful answers
Before you decide.
Can you review progressives I have struggled with?
Bring the glasses and explain when the difficulty occurs. Your prescription, lens design, frame fit, measurements and eye health can all be relevant. The findings determine the next step; a different lens is not automatically the answer.
How long should adapting take?
There is no single timetable for everyone. If the view remains uncomfortable, or the frame is moving or slipping, contact the team so we can review what you are experiencing.
Do I have to choose the same frame shape again?
There is no universal frame rule for every progressive wearer. The frame must work with your prescription, lens design and fitting needs; our team can explain those tradeoffs before you choose.
Should I start with an exam or an optical visit?
For eyewear choices with a current prescription, visit the optical. If vision has changed or you have persistent symptoms, start with an eye exam. Call or text if you are unsure which visit to arrange.
